    We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Apprentice, who finds joy in learning and contributing, to join our team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to begin your career in the field of ESG by working alongside our experienced specialists and strategists. As a Sustainability Apprentice, you will learn, grow, and develop your skills and knowledge in a supportive and dynamic start-up environment, with the potential to become a core member of the team, contributing to the design of purposeful and actionable strategies to drive sustainable change for business and society.

    This role requires strong analytical and synthesising skills, and a deep commitment to research. We value candidates who demonstrate maturity, adaptability, and meticulous organization. A fast learner and self-starter with a relentless commitment to delivering quality solutions to drive positive social and environmental change will excel in this role.
    AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHAPE SUSTAINABLE CHANGE

    As a Sustainability Apprentice, you will work alongside our specialists and strategists to support the growth of our sustainability consulting services to be the best-in-class in Asia.


    Your responsibilities and opportunities will include:

    Research
    Perform market, industry, policy and environmental research to support the development of state-of-the-art strategic approaches to deliver sustainable change for clients and society.
    Assessments
    Assist in conducting environmental and social impact assessments, including compiling, analysing and synthesising qualitative information and quantitative data to guide the pursuit of authentic impact.
    Implementation Guides
    Developing implementation toolkits to help clients translate strategies into actionable practices
    Engagement
    Supporting the design and delivery of bespoke stakeholder engagement programmes to uncover insights for informed decision-making.
    Disclosure
    Supporting clients in achieving international best practices in corporate sustainability disclosure, including IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards
    Influencing
    Coordinating sustainability workshops, training programmes, and outreach activities;
    Innovation
    Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in sustainability to bring innovation, creativity, and inspiration into all research and engagement work.

    THE TEAM MEMBER WE ARE LOOKING FOR

    We are looking for a Sustainability Apprentice who has a strong interest in environmental and social issues and a passion for shaping sustainable change. The ideal candidate will possess:

    • Work experience or internships in sustainability, management consultancy, environmental science or social impact assessment is an advantage
    • Technical knowledge in climate research and GHG emissions accounting is a plus
    • A mature individual with a curious mind, exceptional grit and a commitment to providing quality research and client services
    • A love for the challenge of organising, analysing and interpreting quantitative data and qualitative information and communicating the research findings effectively
    • A team player who communicates constructively, shares openly, and takes pride in being a reliable, flexible and supportive contributor that the team can count on
    • Excellent written and spoken English
    • Fluency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua) is an advantage
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
    • A Bachelor's degree or higher in sustainability, geography, environmental management, statistics, economics or a related discipline (preferred)
    • Availability to work as a full-time member of the team based in Hong Kong.
